Fall Wedding at a Historic Church
Lily and Jonah had a picture perfect wedding day!
From the first look at Hoyt Arboretum to the dancing and pizza at the end of the day, it was an honor to document their wedding.
Our day started bright and early at 7 AM with prep in a historic church in downtown Portland. Hinson Baptist Church is the couple's home church, and they were excited to take this big step of marriage in a place that they knew and loved.
Following the prep, we headed over to Hoyt Arboretum for a first look, couples' portraits, and bridal party portraits.
There was a lovely drizzly fog and the quiet forest was was the perfect spot for portraits.
Following the first look, we headed back to the church for family photos and lunch before the ceremony.
The ceremony was so special! Many of Lily and Jonah's friends and family were able to make it to celebrate with the couple. I've know the couple for about ten years, and it was so special to see everyone there for them and excited to support them. I almost started crying when Lily walked down the aisle (I'm pretty sure Jonah did too haha).
They had several of their close friends pray for them at the start of the service and then enjoyed singing with the congregation before they said their vows.
Following the ceremony, they had a brief dessert reception and receiving line before we headed off to take more photos at Peninsula Park in North Portland.
It was fun to grab the second set of portraits because the couple was less stressed and we were able to just have fun and enjoy the photos!
Following portraits, we headed over to a small venue for a pizza party, music, dancing, and toasts with some of the couples' closest friends.
And without further ado… enjoy the wedding pictures.
