Your story is unique & so is my approach to it.

Let’s talk about the mission behind my photo approach and behind Aspen & Birch as a company.

Choosing the right photographer is a complicated process.

There are so many of us out there! Figuring out the important things to look for can be tough.

The top things that I recommend looking for are someone who has a style you like, someone who has consistent, high-quality work, and someone you will be comfortable working with.

My goal as a photographer is to meet these criteria. I always give 100% to create pictures that you will love for years to come, and I understand the responsibility of capturing these memories.

I’m game to go on adventures! Want to do an epic elopement? I’m down. Want to do a destination wedding? Count me in! Want to stay close to home and embrace the beauty of the Pacific Northwest? I’d love to be right there with you to document it!

I am always working to improve the quality of images that I deliver to my clients. I strive to be creative and try new techniques on a regular basis to achieve the best possible images for you.

I believe that photography is an art process designed to show the best parts of you. I work hard to learn how to photograph all body types in ways that will make people look their best. All people are beautiful, and it is an absolute joy to display your natural beauty through my photography.

But, most importantly, I am here to serve you.

I will help you plan out what you want your pictures to look like, and what you want captured. I’m here to make your wedding photography be a stress-free process.

It is so important to choose a photographer whose values align with yours.

At Aspen & Birch, our core values are,

respect, honesty, transparency, joy, & flexibility

Giving Back

Over my career, I have been incredibly blessed by several individuals and organizations.

I intentionally work to give back to the community by photographing non-profit events for free, and try to bless as many people as I can along the way.

Featured below are the three non-profits that I have worked with the most, Trinity Portland, Birch Community Services, and Abby’s Closet. Feel free to check out the amazing work they are doing by clicking their logo.

Featured Non-Profits

– Valerie | BCS Community Development Manager

Kate has done a wonderful job taking photos for our nonprofit! She’s photographed countless things for us, but the most significant was our 30th anniversary party. We submitted photos to our partners to publish, and we received many compliments on the quality of photos we provided (all thanks to Kate!) She’s great at detail shots as well as photographing moments that capture the overall feeling of the event.

LET’S SCHEDULE A CALL!

I have worked with Kate Birch many times when she has generously helped with a nonprofit I’m a part of. Kate is always lovely to work with. From the planning stages to day of event, she has such a great vision and captures beautiful shots. Thanks, Kate, for being so fantastic!
